If generic icosapent ethyl is rejected, rerun the patient’s claim using these steps:
• Step 1: Check if branded VASCEPA is being filled—if not, override the system with your patient’s permission
• Step 2: Check if the savings program is being utilized
• For further savings, call the patient’s provider and ask if they can prescribe a 90-day supply of VASCEPA
